개인의 삶에 조직과 집단이 중요한 이유
Opinion Essay 2
Group or organizations are an important part of some people’s lives. Why do you think groups or organizations are important to people? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
Most people would agree that Groups or organizations are an important part of an individual's life. There are many reasons for this. In my opinion, groups and organizations are necessary for individuals to pursue happiness. Also, these affect individual thinking and attitude.
Firstly, groups and organizations should be necessary for individuals to pursue happiness. For example, there is a good model to explain the requirements of happiness. ‘Maslow's theory of the fifth stage of desire' is a simple and insightful theory of human needs. When human desires are met, they feel satisfied and this satisfaction leads to happiness. The lower level of desire is listed as a physiological need, a need for safety, a desire for affection, a desire for respect, and a desire for self-activation. This third desire for belonging and affection is also called a social need, and it naturally takes organizations or groups to feel a sense of belonging. The fourth desire for respect is the same. It's satisfying to have influence within an organization, and it's more satisfying if others notice that someone respects me. For an individual, therefore, organization and group are a prerequisite for happiness.
Secondly, group and organization can affect individual thinking and attitude. Depending on what vision and culture an organization has, the level of individual thought capabilities may vary. For example, there is an organization called Google. Of course, it is a place where there are very good people. However, there are many talented people in other companies, too. In Google's case, as it promotes employees with a vision to constantly create new things and a culture that emphasizes efficiency and communication, employees continue to create good things with the idea that they can come up with new ideas. Similar individuals will be able to think more flexible and creative because of their organization. Furthermore, not only thinking but also individual attitudes are affected by the group. Let's think about making friends who keep complaining and swearing for three years. When I have a situation that I don't like, I'm more likely to express my dissatisfaction and swearing that I would have let go of three years ago. When exposed to words in a group, they will be mirrored and resemble similar attitudes. In this regard, group and organization can affect individual thinking and attitude.
In conclusion, there were some bases why groups and organizations were important to individuals. First, people need groups or organizations to pursue individual happiness. Second, these affect individual thinking and attitude. As a result, If an individual can choose such an important group and organization on his or her own, it would be better to think carefully and make a good decision.
